Aanrader: Zero Day – Serie op Netflix

Deze vind ik erg spannend, en natuurlijk alleen al boeiend vanwege het acteertalent van Robert de Niro. Een miniserie van 6 afleveringen, en ik ben al halverwege. Oh ja: ook interessant vanwege de relevantie: hoe afhankelijk we zijn geworden van techniek en daarmee hoe kwetsbaar we zijn geworden.

Afrader: Atlas – film op Netflix

Ik weet dat je science-fiction niet met je verstand moet bekijken, maar tjeez, wat was deze film weer slecht. Zoveel stommiteiten, zo ongeloofwaardig en zo cliché. Om er maar een paar te noemen (spoiler-alert):

  • De schurk vertelt zijn plan aan de held.

  • Iedereen wordt op slag gedood, de held wordt (ook na zijn nut te hebben bewezen) in leven gelaten.

  • Iedereen wordt gedood met 1 of 2 kogels, de held overleeft duizenden kogels.

  • De held kan zogenaamd super schaken en dus vooruitkijken, maar dat gebeurt verder nergens in de film.

  • De kwade AI Harlan wordt gedood, maar hij zal toch wel een back-up in de cloud hebben?

Nee, geef mij maar de romantische J.Lo zoals in Maid in Manhattan.

Aanrader: Stay close – miniserie op Netflix

Nog een miniserie naar een boek van Harlan Coben. Naar aanleiding van andere verfilmingen ga ik kijken. Zo zag ik eerder The Stranger en Stay Close bijvoorbeeld. En die vond ik beiden spannend.
