Summary: A billionaire software-genius named Harold Finch creates a Machine for the government that is designed to detect acts of terror before they can happen, by monitoring the entire world through every cell-phone, email and surveillance camera. Finch discovered that the machine sees everything, potential terrorist acts and violent crimes that involve ordinary people. When the government considered violent crimes between normal people "irrelevant", Finch built a back door into the system that gives him the social security number of a person involved in a future violent crime so he could act. Partnered with John Reese, an ex-CIA agent, the two work in secret to prevent violent crimes before they can happen. Eventually their activities lead to being hunted by the New York Police Department, CIA Agents in pursuit of Reese who was listed as dead, a computer hacker named Root who wants access to the Machine, and government officials who want to keep all knowledge of the Machine a complete secret.

Aanrader: Star Trek – Academy -Serie op Sky Showtime

Heerlijk weer eens een Star Trek adept. Laag gewaardeerd op IMDB, maar ik vind het een leuke serie. Sterke karakters en feelgood plot.

Summary: Young cadets train to become Starfleet officers as they navigate friendships, rivalries, and romance, all while facing a new enemy headed by Nus Braka, a Klingon-Tellerite hybrid, who threatens both the Academy and the Federation. Caleb Mir, searching for his own mother, leads him to send a message on a frequency formerly used by the people attacking the ship, resulting in their arrival. However, Mir is able to obtain the atomic resonance of the programmable matter being used by the attackers and runs a program in the primary deflector killing the programmable matter and saving the ship. Mir is sentenced to 100 hours of menial labor and 90 day restriction to Academy grounds for endangering the ship and everyone onboard and also for transmitting an unauthorized subspace message.
